Odin's Court Logo

Q) What does the name "Odin's Court" mean?
A) It comes from Norse Mythology. Odin was the supreme god (often referred to as the god of the sky). His "court" would be the rest of the gods, much like a King's royal court.

Q) What style of music is Odin's Court?
A) We are Prog Metal.

Q) What bands are you similar to?
A) We have our own unique, distinct sound. However, elements of the following bands can be heard in our music: Dream Theater, Pink Floyd, Rush, Symphony X, Iron Maiden, (old) Metallica, Yngwie Malmsteen, Yes, Angra, etc.

Q) Do you do originals?
A) Yes. We currently play 8 of them out. We are always working on more. We are currently in the process of polishing off several new ones to record. When all is said and done, we'll have a 12 track all orginal CD.

Q) What does your original song "___" mean? What is it about?
A) All our songs are open to interpretation. Of course, a meaning was held in mind when each piece was written, but like all art, the interpretation is left up to the observer.

Q) Do you have a demo CD?
A) We will have a demo CD available to buy. You can request one by email. And as stated above, a full (1 hour+) CD will be available in the future.

Q) How can I book the band?
A) [email protected].

Q) Is "His Dark Materials" based on the book by Pullman?
A) Yes.

Q) Is "Paradise Lost" based on the epic poem by Milton?
A) Yes, though loosely. We currently have songs for 4 chapters worth. In the future, we may do more.
